Women’s Prayer Group Offers Words of Hope

Who is the Joshua Women's Prayer Group?

The Joshua Women’s Prayer Group, a partner of the Community Well, is group of women from diverse Christian backgrounds who meet to pray for one another, for families, and for our community. Read their prayer for these difficult times.

Our prayer for these times

Our Heavenly Father, God of all nations.

We praise your name because you are good, you are merciful and your love endures forever.

You are Almighty and today our eyes are on YOU.

Through your Holy Spirit, we invite your kingdom to come here on earth as it is in heaven. May you bring healing and peace to all nations affected by COVID-19, our community and families.

Grant wisdom to those who lead us in all levels of Government and State. Grant them a sense of your righteousness and justice so that good decisions will be made for all, especially the vulnerable among us.

We pray for those who are on the front lines of our healthcare system and other essential workers getting us through this crisis. Give them courage, strength, and protect them from all harm.

We pray for those who are lonely, fearful, bereaved, that you would comfort them. Those who are hungry, or have lost their jobs, help us to reach them with your tangible love and true acts of kindness.

Forgive all our trespasses and help us to be peacemakers in our homes and community, forgiving one another daily in your Name.

May you use this time of quarantine to transform us by your grace, and  bring us into repentance for any thing we have done that grieves your Holy Spirit.

Protect us from this virus and deliver us from all Evil.  For your kingdom and for your glory, we thank you for all these things, in Jesus’s Name we pray.
