Whether you are a parent, teacher or otherwise involved with children, you will know the sinking feeling when questions are asked about sad and painful feelings. Often, we are left struggling for the right words, not least because we ourselves don’t know what to say.

“My family was trying to cope and grieve during  the holidays from a recent and sudden loss. It was difficult to watch my children hurting and shutting down.  I knew I needed help and reached out to the church who put me in contact with  Betsy. She offered me guidance and help on the phone and suggested I join the 4 week program that helps adults learn how to support their children with loss. During the group it became clear that our children know how to achieve and accomplish wonderful things, but they do to know how to talk, feel or even process loss. The program facilitated by Betsy allowed me to reflect on the readings and become a better listener while offering my children love and support as they continue to grieve.
