Peaceful Parenting 101
Date: Monday, September 17th
Time: 7:30pm – 9:30pm
Cost: $40 per person or couple (your partner comes for free)

Workshop Description: Parenting is amazing and wonderful, but it’s also really hard.  Are tantrums and meltdowns leaving you worn down and discouraged?  Are you finding yourself yelling a lot? Do you feel like every little thing with your child has become a battle?  Do you wish you could feel more excited and joyful about parenting?  Peaceful Parenting can help!  Peaceful Parenting 101 will give you the guidance, encouragement, and tools you need to decrease the drama, power struggles, and fighting and restore the joy in parenting so you can be the parent you want to be.

Rethinking Discipline
Date: Monday, October 1st
Time: 7:30pm – 9:30pm
Cost: $40 per person or couple (your partner comes for free)

Workshop Description: The actual definition of discipline is “to guide,” but in our society discipline has become synonymous with punishment.  In this workshop, we will talk about why children misbehave and what the research shows about various forms of punishment.  More importantly, we will discuss what DOES work to increase your child’s cooperation and compliance and decrease unwanted behaviors.

Surviving Sibling Struggles
Date: Monday, October 15th
Time: 7:30pm – 9:30pm
Cost: $40 per person (your partner comes for free)

Workshop Description: As any parent of more than one child knows, watching your children interact with each other can be both heartwarming and rewarding and exasperating and frustrating….often all in the same 10-minute span!  In this workshop, we will talk about what causes sibling rivalry, ways to reduce the competition and fighting, and how you can help your children create a close and harmonious bond for life.  We will talk specifically about how to respond (what to actually say and do) in the moment when your children are fighting, yelling or hitting each other.

Managing your own self-care and wellness
Date: Monday, October 29th
Time: 7:30pm – 9:30pm
Cost: $40 per person (your partner comes for free)

Workshop Description:  Parenting is without a doubt the hardest job. One of the hardest things about parenting is regulating ourselves and staying calm in the face of our child’s big feelings, meltdowns, and misbehavior.  Do you find yourself feeling as if all your buttons are being pushed?  Is it hard to not get triggered and have your own parental tantrum? You are not alone! This workshop will focus on helping you identify and manage your own triggers so that you can have that close connection with your child and feel good about how you manage yourself when parenting feels extra challenging.   We will also focus on helping you prioritize your own wellness and self-care, as this is essential in order to be a peaceful parent and model healthy self-regulation.
